Whose fate — Conjecture knew –
No other neighbor — did –
And what it was — we never lisped –
Because He — never told –

Is like a Face of Steel –
That suddenly looks into ours
With a metallic grin –
The Cordiality of Death –
Who drills his Welcome in –
